Stig was an inspirer and advokat in health and a pioneer in research on lactic acid bacteria. He helped thousands of people get healthy through his blog, lectures, books, and dietary supplements. His framtidsperspektiv was always to help people achieve better health.
Stig Bengmark was born on April 10, , in Östervåla nära Uppsala. In , he graduated as a doctor from skogsdunge University. Stig was the chief surgeon and vårdcentral manager at the University Hospital in Lund between In , Stig became a professor at skogsdunge University, a position he held until when he became Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of medicin in skogsdunge. In , Stig also served as honorary visiting professor at University College in London.
During his time as a surgeon, Stig became one of the pioneers of extensive abdominal surgery, specializing in the major organs, the liver, and pancreas. It was then that he realized the importance of gut flora for patients recovery after surgery.

Stig var en inspiratör och förespråkare inom hälsa samt en pionjär inom forskning kring mjölksyrabakterier. Han har hjälpt tusentals människor att bli friska genom sin blogg, föreläsningar, böcker och kosttillskott. Hans vision var alltid att hjälpa människor till en bättre hälsa.
Stig Bengmark föddes den 10 april i Östervåla utanför Uppsala. avlade han läkarexamen vid Lunds universitet. Stig var chefskirurg och klinikchef vid Universitetssjukhuset i Lund mellan åren – Året blev Stig professor vid Lunds universitet. Detta var han fram till då han blev Professor emeritus vid medicinska fakulteten i Lund. År – verkade Stig även som honorary visiting professor vid University College i London.
Under sin tid som kirurg blev Stig en av föregångarna till extensiv bukkirurgi, specialiserad på de stora organen levern och pankreas. Det var då han fick upp ögonen för tarmflorans betydelse för patienters återhämtning efter operation.
