A ROYAL VISIT IN STOCKHOLM

Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet – The Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS) operates several guest marinas in the outer Stockholm archipelago. In a move to attract more boat-borne tourists to the capital – with its abundance of restaurants and other attractions – KSSS were looking to build a new marina at Djurgården, in the very heart of Stockholm.

The new state-of-the-art floating marina provides guest berths and offers visitors direkt access to Stockholm, and in particular all the attractions at Djurgården, including the children’s cultural centre Junibacken and the Vasa Museum. The new marina is also home to KSSS’s floating boat show and hosts many of the yachts competing in Gotland Runt, the world’s largest annual offshore race. KSSS Djurgårdshamn is made up of ten pontoons, 20 metres in length and three metres bred, linked and secured using precast concrete anchors and heavy-duty chains.

Three Crowns of Stockholm

Formerly known as Stockholmsbriggen, is a brig built on the model of the naval brig Gladan. The brig Tre Kronor has a permanent berth outside Kolskjulet on Kastellholmen in Stockholm. Construction of Tre Kronor began in on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.

You can have a conference on board even when it is only at the quay
In the large salon, the conference room, there is room for 38 to 45 people depending on how close you want to sit. On board there is also AV equipment with projector, microphones and sound system for presentations and lectures.

For many years, BTK has worked intensively with the Sustainable Seas Initiative and the Save the Baltic Sea Expedition to raise awareness of the challenges facing the Baltic Sea. Sailing with BTK is also contributing to the recovery of the Baltic Sea.

The ship Af Chapman is undergoing renovations from October to December During this period, you are welcome to visit the Hantverkshuset on land, which remains open as usual.

Or take a stroll to Gamla Stan to discover the Royal Palace, the charming Västerlånggatan, or the Nobel Prize Museum.

On Skeppsholmen, you’ll also find the Moderna Museet, ArkDes, the Toy Museum, restaurants, and Skeppsholmen&#;s unique flora and fauna.
